VFuels completes factory acceptance test (FAT) for 30,000 bpd CDU

VFuels successfully completed the factory acceptance tests (FAT) of the 30,000 bpd crude distillation unit (CDU) for the Cabinda Refinery at its state of the art fabrication facility in Houston.

The CDU is the largest fabricated by VFuels so far and will be shipped to Angola for assembly in Cabinda.

The Cabinda Refinery is a strategic project for Angola as the government pushes to modernize its hydrocarbons industry. The country has developed big ambitions for its downstream infrastructure, including the expansion of the existing Luanda Refinery, and theconstruction of new refineries in Cabinda (30,000 bpd), Soyo (100,000 bpd), and Lobito (200,000 bpd).
